چارلتون هستون

چارلتون هستون، یکی از مشهورترین بازیگران سینمای هالیوود، در تاریخ ۴ آوریل ۱۹۲۳ در شهر ونکویور ایالت میزوری به دنیا آمد. او در خانوادهای هنری بزرگ شد و علاقه به بازیگری از دوران نوجوانی در او شکل گرفت. هستون ابتدا در دانشگاه «نورثوسترن» تحصیل کرد و سپس برای ادامه تحصیل در رشته بازیگری وارد آکادمی هنرهای دراماتیک شد. او همچنین در دوران جنگ جهانی دوم به ارتش ایالات متحده پیوست و در جنگ خدمت کرد.
حرفه سینمایی چارلتون هستون در اواسط دهه ۱۹۴۰ آغاز شد و او در ابتدا در فیلمهای کلاسیک و درامهای تاریخی نقشهای کوچکی ایفا میکرد. اولین نقش مهم او در فیلم «بنهور» (۱۹۵۹) بود که یکی از بزرگترین موفقیتهای سینمایی او به شمار میآید. در این فیلم، او نقش «بنهور»، یک شاهزاده یهودی که به بردگی افتاده و به دنبال انتقام است، ایفا کرد. بازی برجسته او در این فیلم باعث شد که او جایزه اسکار بهترین بازیگر مرد را به دست آورد.
یکی از دیگر فیلمهای مشهور و برجسته چارلتون هستون، «کوهستان» (۱۹۶۰) است که در آن در نقش «موسی» به ایفای نقش پرداخت و یکی از پرهزینهترین و پرطرفدارترین فیلمهای آن زمان شد.
هستن در طول دوران حرفهای خود در فیلمهای مهم و متعدد دیگری نیز بازی کرد، از جمله «ده فرمان» (۱۹۵۶)، «سیاره میمونها» (۱۹۶۸)، «آسمان در طوفان» (۱۹۶۹) و «هیچکسی نمیماند» (۱۹۷۰). او در این فیلمها بهعنوان یک بازیگر شجاع، رهبریپذیر و مردی با اراده، شناخته شد و توانست خود را به عنوان یک ستاره سینمایی در دنیای هالیوود تثبیت کند.
علاوه بر کار در سینما، چارلتون هستون در فعالیتهای اجتماعی و سیاسی نیز نقش داشت. او یکی از چهرههای برجسته در زمینه حقوق مدنی و حفاظت از اسلحه در ایالات متحده بود. او در سالهای آخر عمر خود، رئیس انجمن ملی اسلحه آمریکا (NRA) شد و بهطور فعال در این زمینه فعالیت کرد.
چارلتون هستون در طول زندگی حرفهای خود جوایز زیادی از جمله دو جایزه گلدن گلوب، جایزه اسکار و چندین جایزه دیگر دریافت کرد. او در ۵ آوریل ۲۰۰۸ در سن ۸۵ سالگی درگذشت، اما همچنان به عنوان یکی از بزرگترین چهرههای سینمای کلاسیک هالیوود در یادها باقی مانده است.
